Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) / Slightly Acidic Electrolyzed (SAE) Water / Electrochemically Activated (ECA) Water is used in many industries including Hospitality, Food service, Grocery / Retail, Post-harvest vegetable production, Hydroponics and Medical services. SAE water is made by passing low-voltage electricity through weaker brine (sodium chloride) in the Platinum group precious mixed metal oxide activated titanium electrolyzer and splitting the sodium ions from chlorine ions.
HOCl is proven to be safe, environmentally friendly, and fast acting against a broad range of resistant pathogens, including MRSA, M.tuberculosis, Legionella, E.coli, HIV, poliovirus, Helicobacter pylori, norovirus, the avian influenza virus, and many more. Both FDA and USDA has been approved the Hypochlorous acid for various medical and food uses, EPA has given approval for washing raw foods that are to be consumed without processing.
In NaOCl, Very hazardous in case of skin contact, eye contact, ingestion. It is an irritant and corrosive. Prolonged exposure may result in skin burns and ulcerations.
In HOCl, Under normal usage conditions the likelihood of adverse health effects are low. The solution is recommended for treatment of infected or purulent wounds. If any irritation occurs, flush with water.
